Brady + BriAnna said "I do" on Saturday, June 2 at the Catholic church in Hamilton, Montana, then made their way to the Barn on Mullan in Missoula for the reception. Guys, this was a particularly special wedding for me: I've known Brady since we were kids and BriAnna's mom was my boss for years. Over the last couple of years, I've gotten to know BriAnna as well. They are two of the most genuine, hard working people I know and they are raising the CUTEST two-year-old ever!
I've spent some time trying to come up with the right words to describe their relationship and their wedding day, and while I'd love to have some epic $5 word, the one I keep coming back to is "fun." They are just really, really fun people. And their day reflected that. The guys (Brady, his brothers, and two friends that date back to at least middle school) got ready in Brady's parents' basement as a throwback to their high school days spent in that basement and the girls got ready in BriAnna's salon. During the first look, before BriAnna reached Brady, I asked him what he was thinking. His response? "It's going to be a good day!" After the ceremony, the bridal party took the limo for a spin through the McDonald's drive-thru (good planning - there was a gap between the ceremony and the reception and a girl's got to eat, right??).
The day was light on formal photos and heavy on candids because they were fully immersed in celebrating with their friends and family and that seems just about perfect in my book. Side note: I ran into Brady and BriAnna the following afternoon at what was apparently the only restaurant open in Hamilton on a Sunday. Her parting words? "I regret nothing. I had fun!" Guys, it was fun. Really fun. Scroll on through for a few highlights from their day!
Social media is such a funny thing: it can be an all-consuming beast that makes you compare every element of your life to strangers' highlights, but at the same time, it has been such a blessing for this introvert. It's given me a way to connect with strangers who become friends, and that's exactly what happened with Connie. We found each other on Instagram, made a pizza + beer date, and instantly clicked. She's a makeup artist in the Bitterroot, so initially, I was glad to have her as a resource for my clients, but I love taking her photos even more.
Connie + Sam are about to have their last baby: sweet little Jax. It's her story to tell, so I won't share all the details here, but suffice it to say he's been a long time coming and the ride has had some bumps. Given all the bumps, we ended up moving their maternity session up two weeks and it was the most perfect day! The snow had melted in town, but Lake Como was still beautifully blanketed. We had a perfectly clear, bluebird-sky day and these two are so adorable together. Sam takes such good care of Connie and their boys and she is so obviously still head over heels for him (like I said before: spend a few minutes around them and she'll almost certainly crack a PG-13 joke about their relationship).
Montana's Bitterroot Valley never disappoints, but I think Connie + Sam stole the show. Scroll on through for a few highlights!
June was such a crazy month and somehow in the mix of it all, I forgot to hit "Publish" on this post! Anyway, these two are getting married in October and I'm so excited to be a part of it. Fall is my favorite time of year, Big Sky is GORGEOUS, and Meagan and Jeff are so wonderful.
We met up in Florence (Montana - not Italy!) at Jeff's family's beautiful ranch for their engagement photos and a few family ones as well. Despite some circumstances beyond our control (the mosquitoes were so thick!), it was such a fun couple of hours. Jeff's son joined us for a few photos and was such a great sport. This little family has such a fun relationship and it was so nice to have Preston along for this adventure!
And the pups - oh my goodness the pups! They were so enthusiastic. I LOVE my animals and it makes me so happy when others value theirs so much as well.
I met Jeff during law school (he was a year ahead of me) and am so glad he's got Meagan to share this life with. She is so smart and kind (and beautiful!) and their interactions are hilarious! She laughs at his jokes when they're funny and side eyes him when they're not, and when he said he was bringing nine different outfits, she let him run with it, maybe because she knew that he wouldn't actually go through with it when it came down to choosing that many!
I can't wait to see these two say "I do" in a couple of months!
