I spent New Year's Eve in Big Sky with Mike and Sarah, who were visiting from Minnesota to celebrate the holiday and their engagement! These high school sweethearts were so much fun to get to know and work with: I'm so glad Sarah asked me to be a part of the celebration!
Like I said, Sarah and Mike are high school sweethearts: they started dating when they were 14 + 15, respectively. At first, Mike thought Sarah was a year older (which would have been a deal-breaker for the time being!), but as soon as he found out she was actually a year younger than he thought, the rest was history. They made it through high school, tackled college together, and have both graduated and embarked on their own career paths. Ten years in and now they are getting married!
They stayed at a beautiful log home in Big Sky, which provided the perfect backdrop for their snowy, winter engagements. A beautiful, giant fireplace, floor-to-ceiling windows, and the grandeur of Big Sky - is there anything more perfect than that? Okay, a bottle of champagne provided the proverbial icing on the cake ;) Eventually, we capped the evening by braving the elements (it was something like 13 degrees, which was apparently like 25 degrees warmer than their home in Minnesota!) and went for a walk down the quiet, private drive to watch the sun set beyond the mountains.
It was the perfect way to end 2017. Scroll on through for a few highlights!
